Jim Jackson funeral arrangements

The funeral for Jim Jackson will take place on Tuesday 31 October at 11am at Eltham Crematorium (North Chapel), Crown Woods Way, London SE9 2AZ

The service will be followed by a wake at the Sidcup and Foots Cray United Services Club, 108 Main Road, Sidcup, DA14 6NE. The club is opposite St Lawrence’s Church.

Family flowers only but Jim’s loved ones have said donations are welcome to the London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children which runs annual outings for special needs and disadvantaged children as well as providing funds for appeals in assisting children in need of help.

Jim’s wife Michele said: “Jim was a London taxi driver for around 25 years and it was a job he absolutely loved. He loved getting involved in the charity and he would have appreciated anything people could do to support it.”

Jim was a former pupil of Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School in Blackfen where both his parents were teachers.

So many people were pleased to see Jim at last year’s book launch and reunion at the old school and have been saddened by Jim’s premature death from cancer last month.
